Once you make the decision to paint, if you are living in your home, the next question is….What do you do to protect your stuff?
For the most part, you can stash away most of the little items, but the closets, the hallway storage that we throw everything into, the washer and dryer, these item will need to be protected during the project.
Here are three tips for helping your painting project go a little bit smoother,
- Remove ALL valuable items. Store them away, especially if you have workers coming in to do the project. Just be safe. Not that someone will take anything, but temptations removed is the best policy.
- Grab some boxes. This will help organize the items throughout the home into easy to mange boxes. They should be placed in the center of the room to be wrapped up.
- Place all items in the center of the room, keeping them as low from the ceilings as possible. Think Tetris. Stack, condense, but don’t just throw things over there and call it a day. That will make it more difficult.
