As a painting contractor, we often are asked to paint properties that need considerable preperation work prior to paint. In this Mid Rise Building in Central Las Vegas, we have minor to severe cracking in the Stucco, as well as the CMU Block around the pool & planter areas of the deck.
Other contractors had difficulty in fixing the crack, and making them blend in with the original surface. There was quite a bit of work involved.
- First we had to identify the areas for repair.
- Remove and grind the carcks to open them up.
- Once opened we filled the cracks with Latex Concrete Sealant
- Placed a scratch coat of Stucco Mix, Followed by a sprayed coat.
- Ready for paint.
Above we saw the pictures of step 1, where we identified the areas of repair. Next step are to open up the crack, and prep for the new coating.
Now we add scratch & texture coats.
Now we get to the final. Once done, now it can be painted.
